The three qualities
A GEM holds faith, capability, and an ummah-oriented worldview together. Tell us about each, in your own words.
Faith * Briefly, how does your deen shape how you live and work? No template answer. We want yours.
Capability * What have you built, led, funded, or shaped? Point to the things you are proud of and your role in them.
Ummah orientation * How do you think about your responsibility to the ummah, and how does that show up in what you do?

What can you offer other members? * Access, expertise, capital, networks, mentorship, anything you would gladly give.
Are you working on something now where the network could help?Optional. An opportunity, a project, a problem you are stuck on.

Anything else we should know?Optional.

Referrals
The network runs on trust. Please give us two people who know you well and can vouch for both your character and your capability.
Who makes a strong referral. Someone who has known you for at least a year, has seen you operate at close range, and would feel comfortable speaking to your faith, your conduct, and your work. At least one referral should already be a member of the GEM Network if you have that connection. If both are members, even better.
Referral 1 Required
How do you know them? *
How long, in what capacity, and why their judgment of you carries weight.
What can they best speak to? *
Pick the strongest fit. We will likely follow up with them on both.

Something specific (note in "How you know them")
Referral 2 Required

The GEM Pledge
The Pledge is the spiritual foundation, ummatic commitment, and standard of conduct expected of every participant. It is the ethical contract that binds the community together.
Read each section carefully and affirm it in your own voice. Membership requires affirmation of all four.
